The Slipstream

A slipstream is an area of reduced pressure produced behind an object as it moves through a fluid medium, like air or water. This region of lower pressure is created because as the object moves forward, the air particles or water particles move apart and are unable to reform immediately behind the object.

The Quarry is an allegory taken from the Bible. In First Kings, Chapters 5 to 8, the Bible describes how King Solomon built a temple for God. In the time of King Solomon, the stones that were used in God's temple were chiseled and hewn in a physical quarry. Likewise, today, Quarry Life is preparing us for a place in God's temple.

Quarry Life is activated and empowered by our desire and decision to become mature.  Maturity can be defined as the full capacity to represent God and perform every single command and expectation He has of us in any context of life. The Bible is filled with passages that give insight into the dynamics of the maturation process. One such example is in a letter written by the apostle Paul to the Corinthian church.
